Realizing that I need a way to begin these entries, I figured out that there's something we can all agree on: that music is important. So, I think it would be good to share some music that you may (or may not, depending on who you are) know about. Hopefully, you find something you'll like in this entry, so let us begin.
1) Lindsey Stirling
Lindsey Stirling, as you can tell, is a violinest, but she takes it to a whole new level: calling it "hip-hop dubstep violin". With original songs, like 'Shadows', 'Moon Trance' and 'Zi-Zi's Journey', she lets her creative muse shine but also takes inspiration from pop culture with video games like 'Legend of Zelda' and 'Skyrim' as well as televesion shows such as 'Game of Thrones'.
Not to mention she was on a season of America's Got Talent. She may noy have won but she's certainly still got the talent to make her a musical sensation.
2) Omnia
And it shows. They sing about gods and spirits, Celtic lore, bygone days of warriors and legends while infusing a special sound on it's own level. The members are tattooed and spiritual, playing a myriad of instruments ranging from the guitar to digeridoo (an aboriginal Austrailian instrument) and everything in between.
I can recommend these songs by them: Morrigan, Fidhe Ra Huri, The Well, Wolf Love. Then again, they're all good!
3) Abney Park
This band will be mentioned at another time, for another reason but for now, let us keep our mind on their music.
Abney Park is my sort of band, for how they have complete characters: a crew of high-flying airship pirates aboard a ship known as the Ophelia. Not to mention, the music which they produce is adventurous, smart-sounding in the tunes as well as a immersive blending of themes and instruments. It can also sound shockingly sensual, as with 'Sleep Isabella' and 'The Root of All Evil'. Make sure to check them out if you want something different!
For now, that is all. I will probably be doing music suggestions and blogs like this in the future so keep an eye (and an ear) out for some new tunes heading your way.
